Basic information

The following information provides an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You can contact us at any time if you have further questions on the subject of data protection.

Provider

The Paragliding Safety website is hosted by the provider IONOS: IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.
When you visit the website, IONOS collects various log files including your IP addresses. Details can be found in the IONOS privacy policy: https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacy. The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server enquiry
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.

SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Analysis tools

This website does not use Google Analytics, but uses the analysis services of IONOS WebAnalytics in order to protect your data and your privacy in the best possible way.
WebAnalytics collects data such as how long you spend on our website, which buttons you click or from which other website you found us. This gives us a good overview of user behaviour on our website. All this information is anonymous. This means that we do not identify you as a person through this data, but only receive general usage information and statistics.
The data is determined either by a pixel or by a log file. To protect personal data, WebAnalytics does not use cookies. The visitor’s IP address is transmitted when a page request is sent, anonymised directly after transmission and processed without personal reference.
IONOS does not store any personal data of website visitors so that no conclusions can be drawn about individual visitors. The following data is collected:

  • Referrer (previously visited website)
  • Requested website or file
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Type of device used
  • Time of access
  • IP address in anonymised form (only used to determine the location of access)

The data will not be passed on to third parties and will only be used for statistical evaluations and for the technical optimisation of the website.
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

Plugins

We use the WordPress plugin “Limit Login Attempts Reloaded” to defend against brute force attacks. This stores all logged IP addresses in encrypted form in the local WordPress database of the website; no data is passed on to third parties. The use of “Limit Login Attempts Reloaded” is in the interest of protecting our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Handling of contact data

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
The data you send to us by e-mail will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Rights of the user

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
Unless a more specific storage period has been specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have a legal obligation to store your personal data (e.g. data retention); in the latter case, the deletion will take place after these reasons no longer apply.
You can contact us at any time if you have further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to object

Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.
If you would like a correction, blocking, deletion or information about the personal data stored about you, or if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data or would like to revoke your consent, please contact the e-mail address given in the legal notice.
